I shall post videos, graphs, news stories, and other material there. We shall use some of this material in class, and you may review the rest at your convenience. You will all receive invitations to post to the blog. (Please let me know if you do not get such an invitation.) I encourage you to use the blog in these ways:
To post questions or comments about the readings before we discuss them in class;
To follow up on class discussions with additional comments or questions.
To post relevant news items or videos.

There are only two major limitations: no coarse language, and no derogatory comments about people at the Claremont Colleges.

 SEC. 8. IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF INMATES

In consideration of the overcrowding of federal prisons, inmates who fit the below criteria are eligible to be released immediately and indefinitely. 

(2) COVERED INDIVIDUAL.—The term “covered individual” means an individual who—

(A) A citizen of the United States.

(B) Within 30 days of release.

(B) Exception.—In carrying out section (2), each Director—

(3) may not release any individual who was convicted of a violent crime; such as murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, crimes which involve force or threat.

       (4) EXECUTION
(A) End cash bail requirement for release

(4) BEFORE RELEASE

(A) Must be tested for COVID-19

(B) If results are positive, inmates are quarantined within the prison they already reside.
