CBO Scores the CARES Act

The CBO came out with its estimates for the CARES Act yesterday. The CBO notes that there are a number of significant uncertainties in their calculations which.

Their top line estimate: the bill will increase the federal deficit by $1.8 trillion over the next decade, a huge amount but also less than the overall amount of assistance the bill gives out.
