House Speaker John Boehner is working hard to put Senate Democrats and President Obama between a rock and a hard place. Actually it's more like Speaker Boehner keeps throwing grenades (stop-gap spending bills) over to the senate with the pin pulled (short expiration dates) in an attempt to make Democrats panic, either letting it blow up in their face (letting the government shutdown) or throwing it in a direction they would not prefer (the wrong way or at President Obama). So it appears Congress is engaging in a game of hot-potato with live ammunition: the budget.This blog serves my Congress course (Claremont McKenna College Government 101) for the spring of 2024.

And the saga continues....
