Unfortunately, Sen. Ben Ray Luján suffered a stroke and is in recovery. Following up on the conversation last week regarding the timing of the new Supreme Court nomination and precarious Dem makeup of Senate, here's a snippet from WSJ article by Andrews:
"While Mr. Luján is absent from Senate, there will be just 49 senators in the Democratic caucus, making passing any party-line nominations difficult, including President Biden's Supreme Court pick, as well as any legislation that needs full support from Democrats."
