Bipartisan Group of Senators Demand Explanation from Trump on IG Firing

A group of eight Senators, 3 Republicans and 5 Democrats, wrote a letter to President Trump requesting a better explanation as to why IC IG Michael Atkinson was fired. The Senators say they are entitled to a clearer explanation than the one previously provided by Trump, who justified the firing as a result of irresponsible behavior regarding the whistleblower report Atkinson provided to Congress. The 3 Republicans who signed are Senators Grassley, Romney, and Collins. The 5 Democrats are Senators Peters, Wyden, Feinstein, Warner, and Tester.
